Radio Peak and Tune Overview
When you have your radio "peaked and tuned", we adjust your radio for better performance over the standard stock factory settings. The end result is a radio with approximately 40% increase in transmission power and an approximate 25% increase in reception performance.
Do you need your radio tuned?
Using a CB for occasional or recreational use, Peak & Tune really isn't necessary. A normal (i.e. non-tuned) CB with a properly installed antenna will provide satisfactory performance for most people. If you're on a budget and trying to get the best performance possible, we'd recommend spending your money on a quality antenna instead of this service. However, if you spend significant time on your CB or just want the best, a peak and tune will certainly enhance your radio's overall performance.
